Hillary Tolle Carter is a corporate communications specialist with 20 years of media, public relations, and advocacy experience in a career that has spanned agency, corporate, and non-profit roles. She is a respected food allergy thought leader, providing credible “voice of the patient” expertise as a speaker and interview subject for 30+ press interviews, articles, educational videos, and events. She has also provided her expert perspective to organizations including J.P. Morgan, DBV Technologies, Genentech, and members of Congress.

As host of the YouTube series, Take Action! with Hillary Carter, produced in collaboration with Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), Hillary has interviewed 20 top physicians, executives, researchers, and advocates in the food allergy community. A successful fundraiser, Hillary has raised over $1M for FARE as co-chair of six events over the last eight years. She has served on the FARE Board of Governors since 2018.

Prior to her advocacy career, Hillary worked in public relations and corporate communications in New York City. In the Office of the Chief of Staff at MTV Networks, she focused on internal and financial communications. She also worked at Rubenstein Associations, DeVries Global, and Maloney & Fox, where she created brand and public relations campaigns, secured media coverage, orchestrated press events, and performed media training for clients in the healthcare, entertainment, and consumer product sectors.

Hillary earned a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from the University of Alabama. All of her work is inspired by her favorite role of mom to two boys with food allergies.
