We Accept Insurance

Most of the services we provide are covered by insurance and we are in-network with a wide variety of health insurance carriers and accept many different EPO and PPO plans.

In-network with a wide variety of insurance carriers

In California, we are in-network with EPO and PPO plans from health insurance carriers including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, CIGNA, Health Net, and UnitedHealthcare. We accept a limited number of ACA (ObamaCare) and Exchange plans, as well as the SutterSelect EPO/PPO plans. We are an in-network provider for Brown & Toland HMO and Children First Medical Group plans with referrals. Medicare plans are accepted at some locations.

In New York, we are in-network with select EPO and PPO plans from health insurance carriers including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Empire Blue Cross, Blue Shield, CIGNA, Health Net, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare.

Our goal is to make allergy care accessible so we continue to work hard to add more carriers over time. If you do not have an in-network plan, please contact our office to discuss affordable cash-pay options.

How is insurance billed?

We work with your insurance just like other medical practices. This means we will bill your health insurance carrier for the services performed at your visits, and you will be responsible for any specialist copays, deductibles and coinsurances outlined in your individual plan guidelines. The amount you will owe for a visit will depend on your specific health insurance plan and the services you receive.

Are there services that are not covered by insurance?

Most of the services we provide are covered by insurance. For example, our initial diagnostic visits and follow up office visits are typically covered. If we determine that oral immunotherapy is the right treatment plan for you, office visit costs will be covered by your insurance, but please note that there is a program fee — only applicable to oral immunotherapy patients — that is considered a non-covered service and therefore not billable to insurance. We realize that insurance is often very confusing, so please feel free to call our office, at (888) 528-1592, to learn more about what is generally covered by insurance plans.
