Dr. Erin Banta is a board-certified allergist and immunologist. She is a recognized leader in allergy and immunology on Long Island, where she previously practiced at NYU Langone Long Island, caring for patients and training future allergists. She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, and completed her internal medicine residency and her Allergy & Immunology fellowship at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Banta has more than 15 years of experience practicing Allergy and Immunology in the New York City region. She currently serves as vice president of the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society. She has also been a co-investigator on more than a dozen allergy and immunology studies, and her most recently published research includes the Characterization of alpha-gal syndrome and sensitization on Eastern Long Island.
Her practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based food allergy care for patients of all ages. Dr. Banta sees patients in Latitude’s Long Island clinic in Great Neck, NY.
