Dr. Zahida “Rani” Maskatia is board certified in pediatric and adult allergy/immunology. She graduated with the highest distinction from Miami University, and then went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed an internal medicine residency and then a dual fellowship in pediatric and adult allergy/immunology and rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During her time at Baylor, she completed research in the fields of food allergy and asthma and published in several peer-reviewed journals. She then joined the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine before moving to the Bay Area with her husband and two young children. Throughout her training and career, she has worked with many children and adults with food allergies, and has gained a unique appreciation for the difficulties they encounter. Dr. Maskatia is committed to changing the lives of food-allergic people by using evidence-based treatments to allow them to eat foods that were previously harmful, and to help free them from the constant worry of their food allergies.
