Dr. Christopher Parrish is triple board-certified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, in Pediatrics, and in Internal Medicine. He will lead Latitude’s Orange County clinic in Irvine, California, providing specialized life-changing care for food allergy patients of all ages.
Dr. Parrish attended the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate degree with a major in Spanish while participating in the Medical Scholar Program. After receiving his medical degree there as well, he completed a combined residency in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine, and completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Southern California. He then became a faculty member at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. During his time there, he participated in ground-breaking research as an investigator in clinical trials for food allergy and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), which led to the first FDA-approved therapies for each of these conditions. He served as Co-Director of the Dallas Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases and Esophagitis Program (DEEP) at Children’s Health, a multidisciplinary clinic for children with EoE and other forms of eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Parrish has authored numerous articles on IgE-mediated food allergy, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), and EoE in peer-reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Dr. Parrish is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring life-changing food allergy care to patients in Orange County beginning in October.
